The existing colleges in New York University in accordance with establishing time are: College of Arts and Science, CAS, founded in 1832. Offering Bachelor. Of Arts, BA. The college includes humanities, sciences, social sciences and a variety of departments.

School of Law, LAW, founded in 1835, is the nation’s oldest law schools, the college provides professional legal training and enjoys a high reputation.

School of Medicine, MED, established in 1841, equipped with new equipment, have their own affiliated hospitals, with more than 600,000 patients exchanging experience in clinical teaching with the Bellevue Medical Center on a regular basis each year.

College of Dentistry, founded in 1865, specializes in three areas of re-clinical, laboratory and teaching.

Graduate School of Arts and Science, GSAS, founded in 1886, offers the humanities, social and natural science courses, of which Courant Institute are famous around the world for research in Mathematics and fluid dynamics. Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan is a graduate of it.

The University of Chicago is well-known in the economic, physical courses. Many ethnic Chinese Nobel Prize winner were from the University of Chicago or related to it. The teaching aim of University of Chicago is comprehensive education, hoping that students will lay a solid foundation for comprehensive development. As requiring a comprehensive study of students, subjects students need to study are: humanities, social sciences, biology, physics, mathematics and other basic aspects disciplines, and learning a foreign language is also required, learning the different between eastern and western civilizations and selective arts curriculum including music and drawing, many excellent students are from there. Estimated that about 95% of undergraduate students will enter reserch institutions to pursue further study. University of Chicago is a well-equipped institutions, has large-scale cancer research laboratories, the National Opinion Research Center, Franklin Institute, Far East Institute, Midway studio, Cochran – Woods Art Center, Palace Theatre, Franklin – McLean Memory The Urban Studies Center, Population Research Center and other research institutions and the School of Biological Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Business School, Graduate School of Public Policy Studies, etc.

The school consists of seven colleges: humanities and sciences, earth sciences, engineering, medicine, law, business, and education. Undergraduates and graduates account for nearly 50 percent respectively.
