Columbia University is a private school belonging to Ivy League, consisting of 3 undergraduate colleges and 13 graduate and professional colleges. There are more than 4000 professors and more than 23,000 students with 25 million alumni in more than 150 countries around the world. Its budget per school year is about 20 billion U.S. dollars. The library has 8.7 million books. Columbia College is the first U.S. undergraduate college which applied undergraduate general education and has retained the most stringent core curriculum in the universities of the United States. Moreover, its graduate school is well known by academic excellence. Throughout the first half of the 20th century, Columbia University, Harvard and the University of Chicago were recognized as the top three of American Higher Education. Among Columbia’s alumni and professors, there are a total of 73 people who have won the Nobel Prize. The Pulitzer Prize awarded by the School of Journalism is the highest honor for American literature and media.

Two teachers’ recommendations
Graduate: complete transcript of four years of undergraduate, degree certificate, TOEFL 600 or IELTS 7, GRE or GMAT scores are required.
Application Deadline: January 1
Tuition: $ 39,320 (undergraduate)
Accommodation: Columbia University provides campus housing for 99% of college freshmen.
