Management Institute and School of Law Stanford University are among the top in the United States and the law school has been at the forefront in the United States. 6 of U.S. Supreme Court’s 9 judges come from the Stanford University Law School. In addition, its English, psychology, politics and history, are also very good. Among students, the most studied subjects are organisms, so we can see that the strength of biological disciplines is also very strong. Most studied subjects is biology, followed by economic, psychology, English, political science.

The school consists of seven colleges: humanities and sciences, earth sciences, engineering, medicine, law, business, and education. Undergraduates and graduates account for nearly 50 percent respectively. The major academic institutions, in addition to the Hoover Institution and the Department of Sports Entertainment, include Graduate School of Business, Law, Education, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Arts, Medicine and so on.
Now there ares eight graduate schools, that are, Graduate School of Business, Earth Sciences, Education, Engineering, Humanities and Natural Sciences, an interdisciplinary professional schools, law schools, medical. The important affiliated research institutes and laboratories are: Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory, Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace, Hopkins Marine Research Station, Stanford Electronics Laboratory, Physics Laboratory, Institute of International Studies, Energy Research Institute.

Stanford University : Campus Facilities

Stanford University has 30 libraries, not only has collection of more than 650 million books, and are all computerized managed. There are more than 7,000 computers for students, as well as a number of computer rooms and computer centers to provide services for students. Students can use the network to contact with teachers and students. In addition, there are many sports facilities in schools, like Stadium which can accommodate 85,000 people, golf courses and swimming pools, fully reflecting the advantages of a large campus area.
There is Stanford Medical Center in the main campus, with a 570-bed hospital near the center; a creature protected area; and an antenna system. Library books include transportation, music, modern English and American literature as well as special information. In addition, the school has a food research center; Hopkins Marine Station; and five sub campuses based in Germany, France, Italy, Britain and Austria, more than half the students can go there to spend the six-month term.

Stanford University : Entry Requirements

Stanford University’s admission is highly competitive, there were 16,800 people applying in 1997, only 15% were admitted. 1,700 overseas students applied, while there were only 123 were accepted.
Most studied subject is biology, followed by economic, psychology, English, political science.

Department of Psychology and co-implementation of law confer six years double degrees. Students finishing psychology or law for a year may apply to enter the course. Entry must be approved by both departments. Students should apply for application forms after September 1st as early as possible, while complete application procedures should be completed before January 1st.

If Harvard and Yale University are representatives of the American tradition of the human spirit, then, Stanford University, is the symbol of science and technology of the twenty-first century. With industry leading Silicon Valley and Stanford Research Park, Stanford University has been the basis for the forefront of technology.
Stanford University’s education system reflects the spirit of innovation, and different from other universities’. In the school regulations, one year is divided into four quarters, and students must choose a different course during each period. Therefore, students at Stanford University have more courses than those with two semesters’ courses and greater pressure than other university students. Stanford students must complete the required courses in nine areas, including culture and ideology, science, technology and practical science, literature and art, philosophy, social science and religious thought. In addition, students’ writing and foreign language skills must reach a certain standard. Its motto is “change lives, change organizations, change the world”
